How do we protect your information?
You are responsible for the security of your username and password at AEKE. We recommend choosing a strong password and changing it regularly. Please do not use the same login details (email address and password) on multiple websites.
Furthermore, we employ a variety of security measures, including the use of secure servers. All sensitive credit and payment information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted in our payment service providers' databases, which are accessible only to authorized personnel with specific access rights. These individuals are obligated to treat the information confidentially. After a transaction is completed, your personal information (credit card details, social security numbers, financial data, etc.) is not stored on our servers.
Our servers and website are externally audited and verified daily by McAfee Secure from Symantec to protect you online.
Do we use cookies?
Yes. Cookies are small files that a website or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive via your web browser (provided you have allowed this in your settings). This allows the website's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and store certain information.
We may work with third-party providers to improve our understanding of visitors to our website. However, these service providers may only use the information collected on our behalf to help us operate and improve our business.
For example, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"), to better understand how users interact with our website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about the use of our website. This information is used to generate reports and develop services that help us improve our website and related services. The reports show website trends without identifying individual visitors. The information generated by the Google cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
On some pages of our website, third-party providers that deliver applications through our website may set their own cookies to offer services, track the success of their applications, or personalize applications for you. For example, if you share content via social media buttons like Facebook or Twitter, the social network that created the button will record that you have done so. Due to the way cookies work, we cannot access these cookies, nor can third parties access the cookies we use.
If you wish, you can configure your computer to warn you each time a cookie is sent, or you can disable all cookies via your browser settings. As with most websites, this may cause some of our services to malfunction. However, you can still place orders by contacting our customer service at support@aeke.com .
Do we share information with third parties?
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. This does not exclude trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, processing payments, delivering products or services, sending information or updates, or otherwise providing support, provided these parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also share your information when we believe it is necessary to comply with legal requirements, enforce our website policies, or protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be shared with third parties for marketing, advertising, or other purposes.
